Former Icelandic national football player and current assistant coach of the Icelandic national football team.

Helgi played 30 national team matches for Iceland, was a coach for the Austrian Bundesliga team Austria Lustenau, among others, and is currently assistant coach of the Icelandic national football team (since the European Championships in France in 2016).
